The Bishop Estate Trustees have spent millions of the estate's dollars protecting their own
personal interests. Money that should have gone towards educating Hawaii's children. The five
trustees, each paid almost a million dollars per year to manage the estate's assets, have done
no better than if the estate's money had been put in an interest bearing savings account! In
effect, this lofty, elitist board is nothing more than a very expensive, heavy, oversized hood ornament! Honolulu Weekly cartoon 8/12/1998 |
