The micro-management style of trustee Lokelani Lindsey was a primary complaint among the students and faculty of the Kamehameha Schools. In this cartoon she becomes an octopus with a tentacle wrapped around almost every aspect of the school. From approval of the yearbook and T-shirt designs, to control of the curriculum and teachers. Trustee Lindsey's grip was suffocating both students and faculty. The level of paranoia, which may be appropriate, included fears of telephone tapping throughout the campus.   Honolulu Weekly cartoon 5/14/1997
