In 2005, there was a lively debate about the origins of the Hawaiian "Shaka" sign. Local folks offered up stories of how the shaka came to be. But, just when it seemed the origin of the shaka was pegged to a place in history, someone else would place it at an earlier time. This satirical cartoon takes the origin of the shaka all the way back to the caveman era.
